Terms of Service
Effective: August 30, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and us for Happy Kid Coin. We have kept them in plain English, but they are a real contract, so please read them.
1. Who we are
Happy Kid Coin is a service operated by Louvr LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company (“we,” “us,” or “our”). Happy Kid Coin is a family behavior-banking app: parents record the behaviors they want to encourage, kids earn play-money coins for them, and families run a small store where those coins get spent.
By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using Happy Kid Coin, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your family’s information and is part of this agreement.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to create a parent account. When you register, you agree to give us accurate information and to keep it current.
Kid profiles are different. Only a parent or legal guardian may create a kid profile, and the adult who creates it is responsible for that profile, for the information entered into it, and for how the child uses the service. Kids do not create their own accounts and do not agree to these terms themselves — you agree on their behalf.
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. That includes your own email and password (or your Google sign-in), and the passwords or picture-and-PIN combinations you set up for your kids. Tell us at [email protected] if you believe someone has gained access to your branch without permission.
3. Closed beta
Happy Kid Coin is currently in a closed beta. That means access is limited, the service is still being built, and things will change. Features may be added, altered, or removed, and the service may be unavailable from time to time while we work on it.
During the beta we may need to reset or migrate data as the app evolves. We will give you notice before doing anything that would erase your family’s records where it is practical to do so, but you should not treat Happy Kid Coin as the only place your important records live.
4. The coin economy is play money
Coins in Happy Kid Coin are play money. They exist so families can practice earning, saving, and spending. Coins have no monetary value. They are not currency, legal tender, deposits, bank accounts, securities, gift cards, stored value, loyalty points that can be cashed out, or any other financial product.
Coins cannot be redeemed for cash, transferred between families, bought from us, or sold to anyone. We are not a bank, a money transmitter, or a financial institution, and no balance shown in the app is a debt we owe you. If your account closes or the service ends, any coin balance simply disappears, and we owe you nothing for it.
What a coin is actually worth is entirely up to your family. Any real-world reward you choose to attach to coins is an arrangement between you and your child, and it is your responsibility, not ours.
5. Support payments
Happy Kid Coin may invite you to make a voluntary payment to help support the service. These payments are optional gifts of support. They are not a purchase of goods, coins, features, or any other product, and they do not entitle you to anything you would not otherwise have.
Support payments are processed by Stripe, and your use of that checkout is also governed by Stripe’s terms. We never see or store your full card number. Because support payments are voluntary and are not payments for goods or services, they are generally non-refundable. If something went wrong with a payment — a duplicate charge, a mistaken amount, a charge you did not authorize — email [email protected] and we will work it out with you.
6. Acceptable use
Happy Kid Coin is for lawful, personal, family use. Please use it that way.
You agree not to: use the service to break the law or to harm anyone; harass, abuse, or endanger a child; impersonate another person or family; scrape, crawl, or bulk-download the service; probe, scan, or interfere with the service or its security; reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive our source code; resell or commercially exploit the service; or upload anything malicious. We may suspend or close accounts that do these things.
7. Your content
The information you and your family put into Happy Kid Coin — kid names, behaviors, notes, store items, ledger entries — is yours. We do not claim ownership of it.
To run the service, we need your permission to handle it: you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, copy, display, and process your content solely to operate, secure, support, and improve Happy Kid Coin for you. That license ends when you delete the content or close your account, except for copies kept briefly in routine backups. We do not use your family’s content to advertise to you, and we do not sell it.
8. Our intellectual property
Happy Kid Coin — the software, the name, the logo, the design, the copy, and everything else we created — belongs to Louvr LLC and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.
These terms give you permission to use the service as it is intended to be used, and nothing more. You do not receive any other license or ownership interest, and you may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the service without our written permission.
9. Termination
You can stop using Happy Kid Coin at any time, and you can ask us to close your branch by emailing [email protected]. We may suspend or terminate an account if you break these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we decide to stop offering the service. Except where you have seriously violated these terms, we will try to give you reasonable notice.
When an account closes, the family’s data is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy. Coin balances are play money and are not compensated in any way. Sections that by their nature should survive — coin disclaimers, our intellectual property, limitation of liability, and governing law — survive termination.
10. Disclaimers
Happy Kid Coin is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, that the results you get from using it will be accurate or reliable, or that any defect will be corrected. Happy Kid Coin is a parenting tool, not financial, educational, medical, or psychological advice. Decisions about how to raise your kids remain yours.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Louvr LLC and its members, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of Happy Kid Coin, even if we have been advised that such damages are possible.
Our total liability for all claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of fifty U.S. dollars ($50) or the total amount you actually paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages, including for consumers. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that cannot be limited under applicable law, and in those places our liability is limited to the smallest extent the law permits.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. When we do, we will post the revised terms on this page and update the effective date at the top. If a change is material, we will make a reasonable effort to tell you directly, such as by email or a notice in the app.
Continued use of Happy Kid Coin after the revised terms take effect means you accept them. If you do not accept them, please stop using the service and ask us to close your branch.
13. Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and we agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Knox County, Tennessee, and we each consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about Happy Kid Coin. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
