Privacy Policy

Effective: August 30, 2026

The short version: Happy Kid Coin is built for families. We collect only what the app needs to work, we show no ads, we run no analytics or tracking, and we never sell, rent, or trade your family’s information. The long version is below.

1. Overview

Happy Kid Coin is a service operated by Louvr LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains what information we collect when you use Happy Kid Coin, why we collect it, who else ever sees it, and what control you have over it. It covers the Happy Kid Coin website and app, and it applies to parent accounts and to the kid profiles parents create.

Because our users are families with children, we hold ourselves to a stricter standard than the law strictly requires: no advertising, no analytics or tracking pixels, no profiling, no data brokers, and no third parties beyond the service providers described in this policy.

2. What we collect

Parent account information. When you register, we collect your name and email address, and a securely hashed version of your password — we never store the password itself. If you choose to sign in with Google instead, Google gives us your name, email address, and profile picture URL so we can create and identify your account.

Kid profiles. Parents create kid profiles and choose what goes in them: typically a first name or nickname, and sign-in credentials. Depending on what you set up, those credentials are a username and password, or a picture-and-PIN combination for kids who cannot type a password yet. We store PINs and passwords in hashed form.

Activity in the app. To run the service we store the records your family creates: behaviors and chores, deposits and withdrawals in the coin ledger, store items and purchases, requests and parent approvals, notes attached to those records, and timestamps.

Payment information. If you make a voluntary support payment, Stripe processes it. Stripe collects your card details directly — we never see or store card numbers. We keep only what we need to recognize the payment: a Stripe customer or transaction identifier, the amount, the date, and whether it succeeded.

Technical logs. Our servers keep basic logs for security and troubleshooting, including IP address, browser type, and the time of a request. These are used to detect abuse and diagnose errors, not to build a profile of anyone, and they are rotated on a short cycle.

3. How we use it

We use the information above to operate Happy Kid Coin: to create and secure accounts, to sign parents and kids in, to display behaviors, coin balances, the store, and approvals to the right people in the right family, to process a support payment you chose to make, to answer your support requests, and to keep the service safe from abuse. We also use it to fix bugs and improve how the app works.

That is the whole list. We do not sell, rent, or share your or your children’s personal information with anyone for marketing purposes, we do not show ads, we do not run advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not build behavioral profiles or use your family’s data to train anything.

4. Children’s privacy (COPPA)

Happy Kid Coin is designed to be used by children under the direction of their parents, and we follow the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child directly. Information about a child reaches us only through a profile that a parent or legal guardian creates and fills in inside their own account. Creating that profile is the parent’s consent to our collection and use of that information for the purposes described in this policy.

We collect no more from a child than is reasonably necessary to let them use the service — in practice, a first name or nickname, sign-in credentials, and the behavior and coin records their family creates. We never require a child to disclose more than that as a condition of participating. Kids cannot make their information public, cannot message or be contacted by strangers, and cannot see anything outside their own family’s branch. There are no public profiles, no chat, and no social features.

Parents stay in control. At any time you can review, correct, or delete your child’s information from inside the app, or by emailing [email protected]. You can also refuse any further collection or use of your child’s information by deactivating or deleting the profile — email us and we will take care of it and confirm when it is done. We may ask you to verify that you are the parent on the account before acting on such a request.

5. Cookies

We use cookies only to make signing in work: a session cookie that keeps you signed in while you use the app, a “remember this device” cookie if you ask for one, and a security token that protects forms against cross-site request forgery.

We set no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, and no third-party tracking cookies of any kind. Clearing these cookies will sign you out; nothing else about your family’s data is affected.

6. Third parties

Only two outside companies ever receive personal information from Happy Kid Coin, and only for the specific job they do:

  • Google — only if a parent chooses to sign in with Google. Google then handles the sign-in and shares your name, email address, and profile picture with us. Google’s handling of your information is governed by Google’s own privacy policy. If you register with an email and password instead, Google receives nothing.
  • Stripe — only if you make a voluntary support payment. Stripe collects and processes your payment details directly, under Stripe’s own privacy policy. We receive only the transaction result.

Beyond those, we rely on hosting and infrastructure providers that store and serve the application’s data on our behalf. They act only on our instructions and are not permitted to use your family’s information for their own purposes. We may also disclose information if we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to protect the safety of a child or the rights of others. If Happy Kid Coin is ever acquired or transferred, we will tell you before your information moves and honor this policy’s commitments.

7. Data retention and deletion

We keep your family’s information for as long as your account is active, so your history and coin ledger remain useful to you. If you ask us to delete your data, or you close your branch, we delete the account and its associated family records within a reasonable period, typically 30 days.

Encrypted backups may retain deleted records a little longer until they age out on their normal rotation cycle, and we may keep a minimal record of a payment where tax or accounting law requires it. To request deletion, email [email protected].

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your family’s information: traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS, passwords and PINs are stored as one-way hashes rather than as text, access to production data is limited to people who need it, and payment card data never touches our servers at all.

No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we ever become aware of a breach affecting your family’s information, we will notify affected parents promptly and tell you what happened and what to do about it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Happy Kid Coin changes. When we do, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date, so you can always see when it last changed.

If a change materially affects how we collect, use, or share information about children, we will give parents direct notice — by email or a clear notice in the app — and, where the law requires it, obtain consent before the change applies to a child’s information.

10. Contact

If you have a question about this policy, want to see what we hold about your family, or want it deleted, write to us. A real person reads it.
